The nice thing about fighting Houjou was that they are pretty much like putty, as long as you put a lot of ninja's in your squads they fall really easily and I luckily had an abundance of them from previous fights with Iga. Took another 30 turns though, also something of interest that happened was that once the demon army started to attack Mouri they pretty much obliterated them leading to me allying with them for a large part of the rest of the war, also another side note, the Asai-Asakura house was actually conquered by me, however I let Uesugi conquer them after facing relentless attacks from all those other big houses leading to me just letting it go and allowing Usuegi to take most of the fire. Ok in the beginning my best bet was to take on Tanegashima as they had the weakest type of units when compared to everyone else, of course they still were a lot of trouble seeing as how muskets were still a giant pain to keep at bay, this kept going until I reached this stage:Īs you can see, once I managed to start gaining numbers I was able to overtake most all the smaller houses, Oda proved rather trouble thanks to the tag team of Kouhime and Rance but eventually I managed to put em down for good: Gameplay: Alright this time with more pictures! So basically Kazemaru says, if we're gonna go die we might as well die attacking quite the desperate situation indeed. If that is the case, I would rather like to attack. Kazemaru: We don't have much to protect whether we attack or defend. One quick mention before I start, I got really annoyed at the fact Akashi doesn't let Hibachi fight in this mode she'd be soooooo much help here but nope we have to go without her.Īkashi Kazemaru (Warrior): The head of the Akashi house at the beginning Akashi's pretty bad, like really really bad but if you train him as much as you can you can get all his stats up to 7 leading to him being able to take on most other strong commander on at least equal footing, quite the power boost.Ībe Heizou/Asahina Hyakuman (Warrior): These guys are all that is left of Akashi's advisers they had to recently come out of retirement in order to keep up the good fight and despite all that they are actually pretty decent stat wise, which is a lot of help later in the game. Their third disadvantage is the fact that they border not only Mouri, but also Tanegashime and the Tenshi Sect, making both attacking and defending extremely hard early game especially since all three of those houses tend to love dealing heavy damage.Īnd finally similar to Hara again they only have one country and even worse it's only two forts large leading to it being common to be swarmed in the early beginning. Low troop numbers, thanks for their recent war with Mouri most of their troops have died off leaving them with the lowest troops amounts in the entire game, of course this coupled with the fact that most of their commander are terrible make them almost as difficult to play with as Hara was. The first is the fact that all their commanders are either old men or young children leading to for the most part rather weak stats, this means that early on your armies will be taking a lot of damage and dealing very little with a few exceptions and of course it meshes terrible with the second disadvantage. Of course that wasn't always the case, recently thanks to their war with Mouri pretty much all of their men have died off leaving just the very young and the very old, this includes all of his brothers and his father the previous head, which leads us into:Īdvantages: Unlike Hara they actually do have one tiny strength and that is the fact that Akashi can use an action fan to go benchpress or run a few miles and raise one of his stats up to a maximum of 7, quite handy later on when you get to the strongest armies.ĭisadvantages: 4 of them this time though that doesn't make em any better. The Akashi house is currently headed by the youngster Akashi Kazemaru and by youngster I mean something around 13 years old which is pretty darn young for someone to head their own country.

This time it's the Akashi house, first off a bit of backstory. (Check it out, got all the flags this time thanks to a little photoshop magic and help from spy.)
